How will I receive my Facebook Cover, iPhone ICE wallpaper, blog header, etc.?

It all depends on the size of the file. A file less than about 2MB can usually be sent via email. Files that contain items like iPhone wallpaper and Facebook covers will normally be under this size and I'll just include the file as an attachment in an email to you.

What about larger files like slideshows?

If the file is under 500MB I'll put it in a special folder in my Dropbox account and Dropbox will email you an invitation to log onto my account and download the file. It's fast and easy!

What if the file is over 500MB?

This can occur with many of the slideshows due to the size of the photographs. In that case I'll set up an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) account on a separate website and send you the instructions on how to download the file. FTP sites often have a time limit (such as 24 hours) to retrieve the file(s) before it is deleted. We'll talk about this if the occasion occurs and I'll make sure to upload the file to the FTP server at a time when you can download it in a timely manner.

How about the other direction? I have pictures that you will need to complete a project.

Unless you have hundreds of photos we'll do just the same thing in reverse with Dropbox. I'll invite you to share a special Dropbox folder. Dropbox will email you how to log on and at that point you can upload your pictures to Dropbox and I will be able to retrieve them a short time later. It's really easier than it sounds and very self-explanatory.

Dropbox and FTP's? I have no clue what you're talking about and I don't think I can do it!

Not to worry! Let's talk about it on the phone. We can work something out including putting the picture files on a memory card and mailing it to me.

What are your actual prices for items shown as "Starting at... "

Those items with a "starting at" price are offered that way because the actual finished cost will depend on the size of the project. A simple slideshow will be much less expensive than one with dozens of photos and special effects. When you contact me and ask for information on one of the items quoted this way I will reply to you and ask for more specifics. When the scope of the project is finalized I will email you an exact price. No work will begin until you and I have agreed to the project and the cost. In the case of a large project, such as a complete website, I will ask you to pay a certain percentage "up-front" that will be non-refundable if you decide to cancel the project after it has begun. This is to cover my time and costs for what may be a lengthly project. We can discuss this when I price the job.

What are the prices for photobooks?

Pricing depends on the size of the book, the number of pages and the paper stock. All the books are hardcover. Shown below are the starting prices. Once I have an idea of the number of pages based on the amount of photos you want included I can give you a better idea on pricing. These books are produced "one-up" meaning they are made one at a time. If you want more than 10 of the same book some volume pricing is available. Again, we can cover this once I know the scope of the project.

Wooden Products

Just three things about the wooden items I can produce. First, most of the products will be made out of locally obtained oak. This can be finished in many stains or left natural with a protective coating. This is the only hardwood I can easily obtain locally. Second, I have a small workshop that limits the size of my projects. Anything larger than a bookcase or desk is a problem and although I can design it, I can't build it! Third, due to the size and/or weight of the items I can only deliver them in the local Paris area. No shipping is available. Sorry!

PayPal information

I am using PayPal "invoicing" because it allows me to sell my products and services on my website without the personal hassle of setting up my own payment scheme and providing a secure way of processing the transactions. I pay a service fee for each transaction you make and for me it is well worth it!  You pay no additional PayPal fees.

What about pricing when it says "inquire?"

Some products or services involve specialized work and depending on the scope of the job can take varying amounts of time to complete. When you contact me and ask for information on one of the items quoted this way I will reply to you and ask for more specifics. When the scope of the project is finalized I will email you an exact price. No work will begin until you and I have agreed to the project and the cost. In the case of a large project, such as a complete website, I will ask you to pay a certain percentage "up-front" that will be non-refundable if you decide to cancel the project after it is begun.
